HOW TO GET THE BEST RESULTS WITH YOUR PURE SUPERFOOD
Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step to finding the BEST you! We want you to look and feel your best. Here are a few quick tips to help you get the best results with your PURE SUPERFOOD.
1. The best time to stabilize your blood sugar is first thing in the morning.
What you do or don’t do first thing in the morning will set your craving centers for the day. After your nightly fast your body is primed for absorption and is needing and wanting nutrients to stabilize your blood sugar. Take your PURE SUPERFOOD first in the morning and then wait 20-30 minutes. PURE SUPERFOOD has been specifically formulated for quick absorption and to provide the right amount of whole foods and nutrients to balance your blood sugar and start your day right. Let your body absorb all of the whole food goodness and then do what it was designed to do – stabilize your blood sugar. Remember, a balanced body doesn’t crave.
2. Eat every 3-4 hours – at least 20 grams of protein.
When you’re ready to eat after your PURE SUPERFOOD think PROTEIN and NUTRIENTS. A healthy body runs off good, whole food nutrition. Foods that are processed and refined don’t provide the body any nutrients or help stabilize your blood sugar. Focus on whole, unprocessed foods to keep your mind alert and your blood sugar balanced throughout your day.
3. Don’t stress over your food or count calories. Listen to your body.
Have you ever heard the quote “Comparison is the thief of joy”? So is counting calories. If you’re focusing on good, whole food nutrition then your body will tell you when it’s full and what it needs. Focus on the 90/10 rule: 90% clean, 10% sweets and treats, and you can’t go wrong.
PURE SUPERFOOD is food for the mind and body. The mind and body wake when they are given whole foods. Infusing your body with all of the nutrients in PURE SUPERFOOD will put YOU in control.
4. 12-hour fasting window.
It takes 8 hours for your body to digest the last meal of the day, and then 4 hours for your organs to detox. After this 12 hour window, your body is now ready for the intake of more nutrition. If you stop eating by 7 pm, then your body will be ready by 7 am (or after) for intake. A body that isn’t getting this 12-hour window each day will feel sluggish and bloated. The gut needs to rest. You’ll be amazed at how giving your body this window will increase your energy levels and mental acuity. Your body will feel READY for intake after your 12-hour fasting window.
5. Hydration Hydration Hydration.
The human body is predominately water and operates at its best when properly hydrated. Literally, every cell in your body is affected when you don’t get enough water. One of the first signs of dehydration is fatigue, headache, and simple carbohydrate cravings (think sugar). Water does so many wonderful things in the body. Among them is lubrication of the joints and excreting toxins from the body. Toxins that are left in the body cause you to not feel well and the body to ache. Hydration helps flush toxins, fat, and stored sugars from the body. Do you feel like you’re eating clean, getting protein every few hours, but you’re still craving sugar and simple carbohydrates? Make sure you’re drinking enough water. Many people don’t realize the ailments and cravings they’re feeling are actually being caused by dehydration.
Are you drinking enough?
Hydration needs are different based on age, gender, and activity level. First, you need to know how much water your body needs at rest (sleeping, reading, sitting at a desk, etc.). Simply take your body weight and divide it in half. If you weigh 150 pounds you’ll need 75oz of water at a bare minimum. This is the amount your body needs to function at rest. If you’re working out, pregnant, nursing, or doing anything active, you’ll need to steadily increase that number.
Drink a full glass of water and then wait 15-20 minutes to see how you feel. You’ll be amazed…when you give your body what it needs and the cells are fully hydrated everything will function better.
I know, I know. Sleep is a touchy subject. There are times and stages in your life when it’s easier to get the right amount of sleep. Work schedules, school schedules, health challenges, and caring for small children can put a kink in our bedtime rest. The fact is most healthy adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night to function at their best. Kids and teens need even more. Realize a body that doesn’t get enough rest at night will cause an imbalance in your hormones, which activates your craving centers (in an attempt to find extra energy to keep your mind and body awake, alert, and going).
The best way to combat this is, obviously, to try and get more rest. Do the best you can. Don’t let screen-time get in the way of your body getting the rest it desperately needs to keep it balanced.
What about those days and times you aren’t able to get your proper sleep? Just realize your day will be an uphill battle. Cravings are going to come as a natural way of your body trying to keep you awake and alert. Know that they’re coming (and don’t feel extra weak on these days!). Work WITH your body, instead of against it! The best way to combat this is to keep your diet clean and not give in to the simple carbohydrate cravings (which will just cause you to crave even more sugar). Focus on eating protein, good complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats every 3-4 hours to keep your blood sugar stable and your body awake and alert.
